S Cove Rd. Shade Garden

This was the beginning of our biggest renovation yet! Our work would end up expanding to almost every corner of the property. Our first task would be to clear out the shady side of the house, which was overgrown with poison ivy, mugwort, and ferns.

We almost completely cleared out this area, removing good plants to tarps for replanting, and getting rid of all the weeds and ferns for a fresh start. When the area was cleared out, we decided to add some new plants. The property had some amazing hosta, daylily, maidenhair fern, Rodgersia, and acidic loving shrubs like Mountain Laurel and Rhododendron, which became the backdrop for our new design.
